Do you accept any insurance?

Most vision insurance plans offer "out-of-network" benefits. This means that if you buy prescription glasses at oneoptics.com, you can submit the receipt to your vision insurance company and still get some reimbursement. Every vision insurance plan is different, so you must contact your vision insurance plan administrator to find out the exact benefits that you are entitled to in your own vision insurance plan.

If I did not receive an order confirmation, did my order go through?

NO. If you didn’t receive an order confirmation it means that we didn’t place your order – in that case, please send us an email to: support@oneoptics.com  and we’ll take care of your order.

How do I know when my eyeglasses will arrive?

You can log into your account online and get a full status of your order. If you have any more questions you can also contact us at support@oneoptics.com.

What types of frames do you offer?

All types!! We offer men's, women's, grandma and grandpa's and children glasses.

From plastic and metal frames, to designer and sports frames.

When I order eyeglasses do I also get a case?

Sure! All eyeglasses come with complimentary case and cleaning cloth.

Can I order glasses without lenses?

Yes.

What is your product return policy?

All frames except designer frames and sports frames can be returned within 10 days upon receipt. Before returning, customers are required to inform our customer service reps by email or phone. In the event that a replacement is requested, you must produce an original receipt and we will process a ONE-TIME replacement with corresponding charges. Refunds are subject to a reprocessing fee. For details of the charges and policy, please refer to our Shipping and Returns page.

Who’s checking my product before you send it to me?

A qualified dispensing optician, who will check the information you have entered for any discrepancies. If he thinks something doesn't look right, we will contact you right away.

Your glasses will be checked five times while they are being manufactured to ensure they match your prescription and that the lenses and frames are perfect before we send them to you. It's very important to us that your glasses reach you in perfect condition.

How come the prices are so low?

1. "Regular" (offline) shops have many expenses such as storage and shop space rent, sales people salaries, etc… Naturally, these expenses are calculated into the prices of the eyewear they sell. oneoptics.com doesn't have the extra expenses these regular shops have and therefore can offer its customers the low prices you can see quoted on the website.

2. oneoptics.com sells a large volume of eyeglasses daily which helps minimizing the manufacuring costs, thus giving its customers best value for money prices.

Is the quality of your eyeglasses the same as I would get buying from an optician?

Sure. All our products are top quality and we produce all our frames and lenses in the best factories from the same suppliers as the high street opticians.

BUT, our PRICES are MUCH LOWER because our costs of running our business are lower and we “roll”  this discount to our customers.

Prescription and Lenses

Do you provide a prescription?

No. In order to get a prescription you have to go to a doctor or an optician, take an eye exam and get it, or you can use your exsisting prescription to order your brand new pair of eyeglasses.

Is my eyeglass prescription good for ordering at OneOptics?

Sure! Just get in and order your new eyeglasses. There are detailed explanations on how to fill in the information from your prescription on the website.

Can I use the prescription from my old glasses?

Yes you can, providing you can confirm that they aren't more than two years old.

How do I read the prescription?

When you look at your prescription for glasses, you will see numbers listed under the headings of OS and OD. They are Latin abbreviations; OS (oculus sinister) means the left eye and OD (oculus dextrus) means the right eye. Occasionally you will see a notation for OU, which means something involving both eyes. In general, the further away from zero the number on your prescription, the worse your eyesight, and the more vision correction you need. A plus sign in front of the number means you are farsighted and a minus sign means you are nearsighted. These numbers represent diopters, the unit used to measure the correction, or focusing power, of the lens your eye requires. Diopter is often abbreviated "D."

For example, if your prescription says -1.00, you have one diopter of nearsightedness. This is a fairly mild amount of nearsightedness. If you are -4.25, that means you have 4 and 1/4 diopters of nearsightedness. This is more nearsighted than -1.00, and requires stronger (thicker) lenses. Similarly, +1.00 would be a small amount of farsightedness and +5 would be a greater amount of farsightedness.

For people who have astigmatism, there will be three numbers in your prescription. The general form for writing these numbers is S x C x Axis

The S refers to the "spherical" portion of the prescription, which is the degree of nearsightedness or farsightedness discussed above.

The C refers to the "cylinder" or astigmatism, and can be a negative or a positive number. It measures in diopters the degree of astigmatism that you have. The bigger this number, the more astigmatism you have.

The Axis is a number anywhere between 0 and 180 degrees. It reveals the orientation of the astigmatism It is not enough to specify how much astigmatism there is; you have to know where the difference in curvature is taking place.

Here are two examples of what prescriptions for eyes with astigmatism could look like:

-2.00 +1.50 x 180

+3.50 +3.00 x 45

The first prescription means that the person has 2 diopters of nearsightedness with 1.5 diopters of astigmatism. and an axis of 180 degrees.

The second prescription means that the person has 3.5 diopters of farsightedness, 3 diopters of astigmatism and an axis of 45 degrees.

Is my contact lens prescription good for ordering at OneOptics?
Usually prescriptions for contact lenses are different from the prescriptions for eyeglasses; check it with the one who gave you the specific prescription before you order.

What should I do if I don’t have a prescription?
You must have a prescription in order to choose the lenses. If you don’t have it, we recommend you get it and only then order your new eyeglasses.

What is my PD – popularity distance and how do I measure it?

PD - is the distance in millimeters between the center of one pupil (the black dot in the middle of the eye) and the center of the other pupil. Knowing this distance helps in positioning your lenses correctly in the frame so that we can align the center of the lens exactly on the center of your pupil. With stronger prescriptions this can make a big difference. We do advise you have it measured by an optician. In fact, prescriptions usually include PD measurements, but if yours doesn't, you can ask someone to measure it for you.

To do this you need a millimeter ruler and someone to help you with the following 5 steps:

1.       Take a seat and sit with both feet flat on the floor and your hands on your lap.

2.       Ask your helper to sit opposite you with their eyes at the same level as yours.

3.       Ask your helper to hold the ruler against your nose, or above your eyes, from about an arms distance away.

4.       Ask your helper to measure from the left side of the left pupil to the left side of the right pupil. To do this he can point to your left eye, then take his hand away, then point to the right eye and take his hand away, otherwise you may follow the finger.

5.       Repeat this a few times to make sure it is accurate.

Do you provide with a bifocal lenses?

What kind of product guarantee do you offer?
